Cookie Policy

1. Essential (always active)

• Session (__Secure-next-auth.session-token): keeps you signed in. 30 days.
• Security (__Host-next-auth.csrf-token): protects forms against forged requests. Until you close the browser.
• Sign-in flow (__Secure-next-auth.callback-url, __Secure-next-auth.state, __Secure-next-auth.pkce.code_verifier): remember where to return after signing in and secure Google sign-in. From a few minutes until you close the browser.
• Language (metravise-locale, NEXT_LOCALE): remembers your language. 1 year.
• Region (metravise_region): set only when you open a regional pricing link; remembers that choice. 90 days.
• Trial (mv_trial_device): a random value that stops the free trial from being started repeatedly in the same browser. 400 days.
• Cookie choice (metravise_consent, as a cookie and in browser storage): remembers whether you accepted or rejected analytics cookies. 1 year.
• Usage session (mv_sid, browser session storage, signed-in users only): groups the screens you view in one visit for our own usage statistics. Cleared when you close the tab.
• Bot check (Cloudflare Turnstile): on sign-up, password reset and free-guide forms, Cloudflare checks the browser for automated activity and may use its own technical storage for this.

2. Analytics (only with your consent)

• Google Analytics (_ga, _ga_<ID>): aggregate usage statistics for the marketing site and the app. Up to 400 days.
• Purchase measurement (ga_pc_…, browser session storage): makes sure a purchase is counted only once in analytics. Cleared when you close the tab.
• Share sign-ups (mv_ref): when you arrive through a share link, remembers the share code so a sign-up can be attributed to it. 30 days. If you do not consent, the code is carried in the link instead of a cookie.

If you reject analytics or have not chosen yet, no analytics cookies are set. On the marketing site, Google Analytics then runs in a cookieless mode (Consent Mode): it sends basic measurements without identifiers, which Google uses only for aggregate statistics. In the app, Google Analytics loads only after you accept.

3. Embedded Video

If a product video is shown on the site, it is loaded from YouTube in privacy-enhanced mode only when you press play; YouTube may then set its own cookies.

4. Managing Your Choice

You choose on your first visit through the cookie notice. To change your choice later, clear the metravise_consent cookie and storage in your browser and the notice will appear again. You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings; essential cookies are needed for signing in.
